Aquilani will not join Juventus

Roma director Bruno Conti insists star midfielder Alberto Aquilani is not considering a move to Serie A rivals Juventus.

Reports in the Italian press suggests Aquilani is pondering a move to the Old Lady.

“I speak to Alberto every day, but I have never discussed a move,” Conti raged on Roma’s website.

“The club normally works to find a solution to every issue, but I see what has happened as greatly offensive to me as a man and a professional.

“Words have been attributed to me that I never said and there is no truth in what was reported.

“Considering the severity of this, we are being forced to cut off certain links with this source as they are clearly spreading false stories to unsettle us.”
