Arda Turan to return to Barca, but not for long

Interesting news broke out from Turkey on Wednesday, as it was reported that Istanbul Basaksehir have decided to end their loan deal with Arda Turan. The Turkey international will depart the club immediately and these news are interesting for a couple of reasons.

Turan joined Basaksehir on loan all the way back in January 2018, signing a deal on two and a half years. But six months early, Basaksehir decided they do not need Turan anymore. Barcelona player and former Atletico Madrid star was limited to just 179 minutes across nine matches in Turkish Superlig this season and no wonder Basaksehir did not want to pay his huge wages anymore.

Turan is now again only Barcelona’s player, but apparently he has no intentions on going back to Camp Nou and Barcelona will want to sell him too, because his contract is set to expire this summer, when Turan will become a free agent.
