Arsenal battling Tottenham Hotspur for Takehiro Tomiyasu

According to Il Resto del Carlino, Arsenal are interested in signing Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna in the summer transfer window. West Ham United and Everton are also reported to be keen on the Japan international, but it is Tottenham Hotspur who are winning the race for the 22-year-old, who can play as a central defender or as a right-back.

Tottenham have made an offer to Bologna for Tomiyasu, but it does not match the Italian club’s valuation. Talks are going on between Spurs and Bologna, with the Premier League outfit keen on getting a deal done in the summer transfer window.

Tomiyasu has been at Bologna since 2019 and has established himself as a key figure in the team. The Japan international defender scored two goals in 31 Serie A appearances last season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the 22-year-old scored one goal and gave three assists in 29 league games.
