Arsenal could bid for Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella

Arsenal are interested in signing Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Arsenal are considering a bid for the Italy international midfielder, adding that any potential move would see Ghanaian defensive midfielder Thomas Partey leave the Emirates Stadium.

Football Transfers have claimed that Newcastle United tried to sign Barella from Serie A giants Inter earlier this summer. However, the Magpies failed to match Inter’s asking price for the Italy international and signed Sandro Tonali from AC Milan instead. And now, Arsenal want to try their luck with Barella.

Barella made 31 starts and four substitute appearances in Serie A for Inter last season. The Italy international midfielder scored six goals and gave six assists in those matches. The 26-year-old also scored three goals in 12 UEFA Champions League matches for Inter last season. The Italian club reached the final of the competition last season.
