Arsenal have approached Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo

Arsenal are interested in signing Ronald Araujo from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to ABC. It has been reported that Arsenal are willing to pay the Uruguay international central defender more than double what Barcelona have offered to him to sign a new deal.

Premier League club Arsenal have already approached Araujo about signing him in the summer transfer window. The defender is out of contract at Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the summer of 2023.

Araujo has made 17 starts and five substitute appearances in La Liga for Barcelona so far this season, scoring four goals in the process. The 23-year-old central defender has made four starts and one substitute appearances in the Champions League, and has made two starts and one substitute appearances in the Europa League so far this season.
