Arsenal looking to Spain for Ramsey replacement

Aaron Ramsey has concluded his deal with Juventus to leave Arsenal this summer when his contract expires on 30 June and that leaves a hole in the Gunners’ midfield. Unai Emery seems to be ready to fill it with a signing from Spain.

The Spanish manager knows the market in his native country really well and it looks like Arsenal are thus eyeing Joan Jordan, Eibar midfielder, to be the potential replacement for the Welsh star. According to Marca, Emery and his staff are looking at the prospect of signing the 24-year old midfielder. He has a £13m release clause and that could make things in this matter quite easy.

Arsenal might even be able to negotiate a cheaper fee, but Espanyol still have rights on 20 per cent of any fee in this transfer. That could mean for Eibar to want all £13m from this deal, as one fifth will go to the Catalan club anyway. Jordan has three goals and four assists in La Liga this season, making 27 appearances in the process.
