Arsenal are interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The Gunners made a failed attempt to secure the services of Watkins in the January transfer window, and the north London club are reportedly still keen on a deal for the England international striker.
Mikel Arteta’s side made a bid of £40 million for Watkins, but Villa turned it down. The striker is one of the best and most important players in Unai Emery’s side, who are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season. The 29-year-old Englishman has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 24 league starts so far this season.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are planning to sign Watkins as well as Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old Slovenia international striker has scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 21 starts in the Bundesliga so far this season.
