Arsenal want new contract for William Saliba

Arsenal want to hand William Saliba a new contract, according to 90min. The report has claimed that the Gunners have indicated to the France international central defender that they want to start talks with him over a new deal.

Saliba has been on the books of Arsenal since 2019 when he joined from Saint-Etienne. The 21-year-old stayed on loan at Saint-Etienne for the 2019-20 campaign. Saliba spent the second half of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Nice and was at Marseille on loan last season. He has broken into the France national set-up.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has now included Saliba in his plans for this season. The defender started for the Gunners in their opening Premier League game of the season against Crystal Palace and had a brilliant match.
