Arsenal want to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad

Arsenal are interested in signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the Gunners were keen Zubimendi in the summer transfer window and could make a move to bring the defensive midfielder to the Emirates Stadium in the middle of the season.

Zubimendi has a release clause of €60 million in his contract at Sociedad, and Arsenal, who are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, could decide to pay it. Although the North London club wanted to sign the 24-year-old in the summer of 2024, they prioritise other signings.

The Spain international has scored one goal in four La Liga appearances for Sociedad so far this season. Zubimendi made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in La Liga for La Real last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.
