Aston Villa keen on Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-Peters

Aston Villa are interested in signing Kyle Walker-Peters from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. Villa manager Unai Emery wants to sign a right-back, and former Tottenham player Walker-Peters is reportedly on the radar of the ex-Arsenal boss.

Walker-Peters has made 23 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Southampton so far this season, scoring one goal in the process. The 26-year-old has alas played four times in the Carabao Cup and thrice in the FA Cup for the Saints so far this campaign.

Villa are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 31 matches. The Villans are six points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United, who have played 30 matches. Meanwhile, Southampton are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with 23 points from 31 matches, as many as four points behind 17th-placed Everton.
