Aston Villa earned their promotion to the Premier League and now they are doing all they can to stay there as long as possible. After some incredible business in the last month or so, now they are setting their minds on another proven Premier League player – Tom Heaton.
According to Football Insider, Villa are preparing a new bid for Burnley goalkeeper. Reportedly, the price tag for the Englishman is £12m, but Aston Villa only offered £4m in their initial bid. For transfer to happen, they will have to improve the offer, especially as Heaton has proved how good of a goalkeeper and that he could be safe pair of hands to all at Villa Park.
Villa look to continue their spending spree, as they have already spent almost £60m on eight players. Most significantly, Wesley arrived from Genk, Tyrone Mings from Bournemouth and Matt Target from Southampton. There were also arrivals from Wolves, Lille, Reims…
