Aston Villa want Cameron Archer to sign new contract

Aston Villa want Cameron Archer to stay at the club, according to Football Insider. It has been reported that the Premier League outfit are offering the 20-year-old striker an improved deal to stop him from leaving the Villans in the January transfer window.

Villa are ready to offer Archer a big pay-rise and are aware of interest from other Premier League clubs in the striker. Villa manger Dean Smith and his coaching staff have a clear pathway for the youngster to the first team and are ready to give him minutes this season.

It would make sense for Archer to stay at Villa and continue his footballing development. The 20-year-old is unlikely to get regular playing time if he moves to another Premier League club.
