World Cup 2010 hosts South Africa made amends for their defeat by Nigeria last weekend when they defeated Equatorial Guinea 4 – 1 at Atteridgeville’s Super Stadium on Saturday.
The match was a Group 4 World Cup qualifier.
It was new Bafana Bafana coach Joel Santana’s first win in charge.
Bafana Bafana had led 2 – 0 at the break.
Goals by Kagisho Dikgacoi who scored the first and fourth goals, Surprise Moriri and Terror Fanteni were enough to erase the disappointment of last weekendÂ’s clash in Nigeria.
Equatorial Guinea replied via the penalty spot when substitute Juvenal netted.
