Barcelona to bid for Llorente; Liverpool eyeing Emre Can

hot-transfer-newsBarcelona to bid for Llorente

Catalan daily newspaper Sport understands that Barcelona are set to launch an assault on Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.

The Catalans have been thinking about recruiting an out-and-out forward for a while now, and it seems they have finally decided to add a genuine striker to their ranks.

According to Sport, Barcelona officials have made Juventus star Fernando Llorente their number one target in the summer transfer window.

The Catalans missed out on the Spain international last summer as he opted to join the Bianconeri on a free transfer and he has since proved his credentials in Serie A.

Llorente, 29, went on to score 16 goals in 34 league outings, establishing a very good attacking partnership with Carlos Tevez in the process.

And while the Bianconeri see the Spaniard as an important member of the squad, they could decide to cash in on him if Antonio Conte succeeds in his attempts to sign another world-class striker in the summer.

Liverpool eyeing Emre Can

Liverpool are stepping up their efforts to sign German midfielder Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen, reports Bild.

Having been impressed by the talented footballer that can also be used as a left-back, the Reds are determined to lure the youngster to Anfield this summer.

And while Bayer Leverkusen officials have denied receiving an official proposal, it is believed Liverpool are set to offer around €12 million for the player’s services.

Die Werkself are hoping to keep hold of their prized asset, but it is believed they would not be able to resist a big money offer.

Emre Can, 20, has largely impressed since arriving from Bayern Munich last summer, having managed 3 goals and as many assists in 29 Bundesliga outings.

The talented footballer has yet to be handed his national team debut, with Germany priced at 11/2 to win the 2014 World Cup.

Fenerbahce reveal Diego Ribas talks

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have revealed they are in talks over signing Brazilian midfielder Diego Ribas da Cunha.

The highly rated footballer is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, but his deal at parent club Wolfsburg is due to expire in just over a month.

And Fenerbahce seem ready to try and lure the footballer to Sukru Saracoglu in the summer transfer window.

“We have initiated negotiations with representatives of Diego Ribas for his hiring,” the Turkish side announced on their official Twitter account.

Diego Ribas hasn’t quite managed to impress in his second spell at Vicente Calderon, but the goal he scored in the Champions League quarter-finals against Barcelona helped los Colchoneros reach the final stage of the competition.

He has made 13 league appearances and scored one goal as Atletico won their first La Liga trophy since 1996, but did not take part in the final game of the campaign against Barcelona.
