Barcelona turn down Rakitic offer

Barcelona are ready to sell Ivan Rakitic in the January transfer window! That is the message that the media have been getting from the Blaugrana, after the latest comments made by sports director Eric Abidal, but now the club have rejected an offer for him.

An unnamed club from the Premier League reportedly made an offer of around 15 million euros for the Croatia international, but Barcelona were not ready to accept it, according to Sport. Several Premier League clubs have been linked with Rakitic, including Manchester United and Chelsea, but the La Liga giants are likely to wait for a bigger offer in order to selling him.

Barca are looking to offload Rakitic when the market reopens, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid also reportedly interested in the player, but the fee will have to be a much higher one. Rakitic is eager to make a move as he is not a regular in Barcelona’s starting XI and he could push for the club to let him go.
