Bayern eye young French defender

There is another young footballer who could join Bixente Lizarazu and Willy Sagnol this summer in the list of French defenders to have played for FC Bayern. Teenager Sebastien Corchia, who plies his trade for Le Mans, is apparently on the summer shopping list of boss Louis van Gaal.

French media reports have linked Corchia, 19, with a 2.5 million euro transfer to the Bavarian club this summer. Corchia, who also holds an Italian passport, joined Le Mans in 2006 from PSG and has represented France at U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-21 levels.

Last winter, Corchia was linked with a move to English giants Chelsea. Juventus are also reportedly tracking the progress of the young right back. A versatile player, Corchia can also slot into the right side of midfield if required, and is a more than able free kick taker.
