Boateng completes transfer to Fc Koln

Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng transfers to FC Köln with immediate effect; the 25-year-old joins Cologne from Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem for an undisclosed fee. He has signed a contract good through June 30th 2013 and will wear shirt number 26.

“It’s an honour for me to be here. I was very happy when I heard that I could move to Cologne”, said Boateng, who had beaten the Czech Republic 2-0 with Ghana in the RheinEnergieStadion during the 2006 World Cup.
