Both teams to score at Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds 8/11 for Fridays Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 8/11 @ Bet 365

After enduring a sticky spell in September, Leeds will look to get back to winning ways on Friday night when they travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday.

Starting with the hosts, after bringing in Jos Luhukay at the back end of last season, Wednesday are enjoying a solid start to the new Championship campaign. Picking up an impressive 2-1 win over a struggling Aston Villa side, the Owls have now lost just one of their last six league matchups. While the hosts have now managed to score two in each of their last three Championship matches on home soil, Wednesday’s defensive issues will still be a concern to Luhukay. Aside from a 2-0 win over Sunderland in the League Cup back in August, the Owls have failed to record another clean sheet this season.

As for the visitors, while they may have started the season in emphatic fashion, it has been a tough month for Marcelo Bielsa men. Coming off the back of a very disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Birmingham last weekend, the Whites have now only managed to pick up one win in their last five. While they might be short of form, Leeds do still sit top of the Championship and their 19 goals already this season give them the second best-attacking record in the division. Now without a clean sheet in their last three, backing both teams to score seems like the smartest bet here.
