Brighton want Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares

Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in signing Nuno Tavares from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to O Jogo in Portugal. The report in the Portuguese publication has claimed that Brighton want to sign Tavares on loan from Premier League rivals Arsenal for next season and have opened talks over a deal.

French giants Marseille are keen on Tavares as well, according to the report. Brighton could be in the market for a new left-back because Premier League champions Manchester City want to sign Marc Cucurella. The Citizens’ interest in the Spanish star comes after their decision to let Oleksandr Zinchenko leave for Arsenal.

Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica in the summer of 2021. The 22-year-old Portuguese left-back made 13 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
