Bristol City 5/2 to beat Stoke in Saturday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Bristol City win

Odds: 5/2 @ Bet 365

Looking to extend their winning run after the international break, Bristol City will make the trip to Stoke on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, suffering a 2-1 defeat against Birmingham prior to the international break, Stoke have continued on what has been a woeful start to the new campaign. Still sat at the foot of the Championship and one of just two sides still searching for their first win of the season, the pressure is really starting to mount on Head Coach Nathan Jones. Now enduring a three-match losing run, a huge part of the Potters’ continued issues has come down to some glaring defensive struggles. The former Luton boss has seen his side concede two or more goals in each of their opening six matches.

As for the visitors, despite opening their Championship campaign with a 3-1 loss against Leeds, Lee Johnson’s men have bounced back in some style. Unbeaten in their other five outings, the mood in the Robins’ camp continues to soar and they have their sights firmly set on mounting a top-six charge this season. There is no doubt that fans around Ashton Gate will be most impressed by their sides form on the road. Bristol have secured back-to-back away victories over Derby and Hull prior to the international break.
