Celtic contact Newcastle United for Martin Dubravka

Celtic are interested in signing Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. Joe Hart has decided to retire, and Dubravka is one of the goalkeepers that Scottish Premiership giants Celtic are keen on signing as a replacement.

TEAMtalk has reported that Celtic have made contact with Premier League club Newcastle and have asked about a potential deal for Dubravka. The Magpies have made the 35-year-old Slovakia international goalkeeper available for transfer, and the Hoops, who won the Scottish Premiership title last season yet again, are keen.

Newcastle, who did not finish in the Premier League top four last season, are going to sign a new goalkeeper to compete with Nick Pope and are desperate to get rid of Dubravka, who has been on the books of the Magpies since 2018. Dubravka has made 152 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has kept 41 clean sheets in those games.
