Celtic are interested in signing Kyle Edwards and Rekeem Harper on loan from West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun. 20-year-old midfielder Harper was close to joining Celtic in the summer of 2019, but the youngster decided to stay at the Baggies.
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Celtic manager Neil Lennon personally scouted Harper in the Championship playoffs against Aston Villa and wants to add him to his squad at Celtic Park when the transfer window opens in January. Winger Edwards has fallen down the pecking order at The Hawthorns and is on the radar of the Hoops as well.
Celtic are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 34 points from 15 matches, as many as 16 points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have played 18 games. Meanwhile, West Brom currently find themselves second from bottom in the Premier League table with seven points from 13 matches.
