Cercle reach quarter finals in Belgian Cp

Cercle Brugge are through to the quarter finals of the Belgian Cup, having beaten Charleroi Sporting Club 2-1 after extra time.

Charleroi’s Geofrey Bia opened the score on 36 minutes but Stijn de Smet equalised shortly after the break. The winning goal came from Kristof Snelders on 106 minutes.

Cercle are the last of eight clubs to secure a quarter final spot, following Roeselaere, Lierse, Mechelen, Genk, Mechelen, Kortrijk and Gent.
