Charles N’Zogbia finds new club

French media outlet L’Equipe understands that former Newcastle United midfielder Charles N’Zogbia will soon end his search for new employers.

Namely, the same source has suggested the 30-year-old is on the verge of signing a one-year deal with Ligue 1 outfit Nantes.

N’Zogbia has been a free agent since his deal with Aston Villa expired in June, and the Canaries reportedly made quite an effort to match his wage demands.

Despite the fact that the Frenchman last played a competitive game in November 2015, Nantes officials believe the experienced footballer will be a good addition to the squad.

While coming through Le Havre’s famous youth academy, N’Zogbia has spent his entire professional career up to date in England, representing Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa.

The player, who earned two France caps, will now experience Ligue 1 football for the first time, but it will probably take him some time to reach the desired level of fitness.
