Chelsea approach Juventus for Federico Chiesa

Christian Falk has claimed on Twitter that Chelsea are interested in signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus in the summer transfer window. The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on the social networking site that Chelsea have asked Juventus about the winger and are willing to pay €100 million for the younsgter.

However, according to the Head of Football of Bild, Falk, Juventus have declined to entertain any talks. The former Italian champions do not want to sell the 23-year-old this summer.

Chiesa is actually on a two-year loan deal at Juventus from Serie A rivals Fiorentina. The Italy international joined the Bianconeri last summer. If Juve were to sell Chiesa, then they would have to make the loan deal permanent this summer.

The Italy international is a very important player for Juventus and did well for Italy at Euro 2020 this summer. The 23-year-old winger scored eight goals and gave eight assists in Serie A, and scored four goals and provided one assist in the Champions League last season. Chiesa scored two goals for Italy at the European Championship.
