Chelsea are interested in signing Marc Guehi from London and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Chelsea are on the hunt for a new defender with Thiago Silva set to leave, and that Guehi is a potential target.
Guehi was on the books of Chelsea from 2007 until 2021. The defender came through the Blues’ youth system, but he could make an impact in the first team of the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners. After spending time on loan at Swansea City, the England international joined Crystal Palace where he has flourished.
The 23-year-old is now considered one of the best young defenders in the Premier League. Guehi has given one assist in 22 Premier League matches for the Eagles. The young defender has made 95 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored three goals, given two assists and kept 22 clean sheets in those games.
