Chelsea fail to agree Enzo Fernandez terms with Benfica

Chelsea have failed to agree terms with Benfica over the signing of Enzo Fernandez in the January transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Premier League club Chelsea and Portuguese giants Benfica have been holding talks for a number of days now, but they have not been able to come to an agreement over a fee for the Argentina international midfielder.

Former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Fernandez. The 21-year-old, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, has told Benfica that he wants to move to the Blues.

Despite the setback, Chelsea remain keen on Fernandez and are going to continue to hold talks with Benfica. The Blues are keen on bringing Fernandez to Stamford Bridge in the middle of the season.
