Chelsea to make new bid for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea are planning to make a new bid for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Sky Sports. The 2021 Champions League winners’ second offer of £85 million plus Marcos Alonso for the former Manchester United striker was turned down.

However, Chelsea are determined to secure the services of the Belgium international striker they signed from Anderlecht in 2011 before selling him to Everton in 2014. The Blues are looking for a top-class striker and have identified the 28-year-old as their main target.

Lukaku helped Inter win Serie A last season, scoring 24 goals and providing 11 assists in the process. The 28-year-old scored 23 goals and gave two assists in Serie A in 2019-20. The Belgian striker scored 113 goals in 252 matches in the Premier League.
