Chelsea want €25m for Zappacosta

Chelsea might be under a FIFA transfer ban, but that is not stopping them from selling players. Yesterday, it was reported that AS Roma are interested in signing Michy Batshuayi from the London-based club and today another name is being linked with the Giallorossi.

According to Goal, Roma are interested in signing Davide Zappacosta from the Premier League outfit. Chelsea are interested in offloading the Italy international, as his time at the club did not work out. Goal claim that Chelsea have placed a €25m price tag on the defender. The 27-year-old is surplus to requirements and new manager Frank Lampard obviously does not have enough trust in him.

He is expected to leave Stamford Bridge, as Lampard feels that Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James can offer more to the Blues at right-back. Zappacosta, who arrived in the era of Antonio Conte, could be returning to Italy. Roma have made an enquire about his availability, but the asking price could be too high for them.
