Cillessen closing in on Benfica move

Jasper Cillessen of Barcelona is closing in on a move to Benfica, according to Marca.

The Dutch international has been playing second fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen for far too long at Camp Nou and has reportedly informed the club of his desire to leave. A more recent report had Cillessen linked with Manchester United who look set to part ways with David De Gea this summer. The Spaniard refused to sign a new contract at Old Trafford and is about to enter a 12-month extension of the current deal activated by the club, who will look to sell him now rather than allow him to leave for free next year.

However, it seems Benfica are prepared to act more swiftly to nail Cillessen, and the representatives of the 30-year-old goalkeeper have already been to Portugal to try and push the deal through. Barcelona will apparently demand a fee of at least €20 million.
