City slam price tag on Aguero

Manchester City have placed a £57m valuation on Sergio Aguero in an attempt to deter interest from Barcelona, according to the Express.

Reports in Spain are saying that Lionel Messi’s father Jorge want’s the 25 year old to move to the Nou Camp, as a condition of his son remaining with the Catalan club.

However, the Premier League leaders, who reclaimed top spot after beating Aston Villa 4-0 yesterday evening have no intention of selling their star striker, who has scored twenty-eight goals in all competitions this season despite spending over three months on the side-lines.

Aguero moved to the Etihad Stadium from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011, and famously scored the stoppage time winner against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of his first season in English football to help City clinch the Premier League title.

He also won the League Cup back in March, and looks set to again receive a league winners medal this weekend.
