Belgian side Club Brugge have won the first edition of the Coppa Sterchele. This match was held to honour François Sterchele, who passed away in May this year.

For the occasion, Brugge organized a match with the player’s previous club, Germinal Beerschot. The home side would eventually win 3-0.

Ahead of the match, the fans that had come to watch the match were thanked by the player’s mother.
