Argentine striker Hernan Crespo seeks an explanation from Inter, to why he has not been given a chance to play at the club.

Crespo, who was been left out of Inter’s Champions League squad, has barely featured for the side this season.

“I am convinced that I am still a football player and can give a great deal, I just need to wait for the right moment,” he told Sky Italia.

“I can’t wait to get back on that field. The first time I put the ball in the net, and sooner or later it will happen, you’ll see this crazy man running around San Siro even after the floodlights have been shut down.”

He continued: “I had expectations last year and was an important figure in my first season. The bitterness I have is based on the fact I didn’t even get the chance to play badly, I just got dropped and that’s all.

“Considering how well I had done before, I expected like everyone else to be given three or four games and if I didn’t deliver then I would be understandably left out. I never even had that opportunity.

“Things changed this summer, Mourinho arrived and I already knew him. There were concrete offers that I turned down, told by the directors that I would be in a different situation. Instead, it got worse.

“I believe Mourinho is different to other Coaches, as he has the ability to make you train in a new and entertaining way. He’s also unique in the way he prepares for a match.”
