Erik ten Hag wants Donny van de Beek stay at Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag does not want to let Donny van de Beek leave in the summer transfer window despite interest from Ajax, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Ajax want to sign the Netherlands international midfielder on loan for this season, but Ten Hag has told his former club that he will stay at Old Trafford.

Van de Beek has struggled during his time at Manchester United and had a loan spell at Everton last season. The Dutchman did not have a particularly great time at Goodison Park, but Ten Hag has worked with him at Ajax and believes that he can get him back to his best.

United are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with no point from two matches. The Red Devils will take on Liverpool at Old Trafford in the league on Monday evening.
