Everton and Leicester City leading Kurt Zouma race

Everton and Leicester City are leading the race for Chelsea central defender Kurt Zouma in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that the signing of Thiago Silva on a free transfer by Chelsea has seen Zouma fall down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and that the London club are willing to sell him for £26 million.

Premier League rivals Everton and Leicester are leading the race to sign the 25-year-old France international centre-back, according to the report. The defender spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at the Toffees from Chelsea, and according to WhoScored, scored two goals and provided two assists in 32 league matches.

According to WhoScored, Zouma has scored one goal in two Premier League matches for Chelsea so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, the Frenchman made 25 starts and three substitute appearances in the league and played seven times in the Champions League for Frank Lampard’s side.
