Everton eyeing Ba move

Everton have been linked with a move for Chelsea’s Demba Ba, according to the Daily Star.

The Merseyside club took fellow Blues forward Romelu Lukaku on loan last season, but have been priced out of a permanent move for the Belgium international and the Blues are keen to cash in.

This has led to Toffee’s manager Roberto Martinez having to search elsewhere in order to boost his attacking options ahead of the forthcoming campaign, and with Ba also on his way out of Stamford Bridge, a deal could be struck.

The Senegalese forward was close to securing a move to Turkish side Besiktas last month though the deal fell through, and now the former Newcastle United and West Ham United man could be set for a stay in England.

The 29 year old has scored fourteen goals in fifty-three appearances for Chelsea since moving from St James Park in January 2013.
