Evra set for Juve switch

The Daily Star understands that Patrice Evra is closing in on his switch from Manchester United to Juventus after undergoing a medical with the Serie A champions.

The 33 year old’s contract at Old Trafford is set to expire next month, news which has alerted a number of Europe’s elite clubs including Inter Milan and Monaco.

However, Juve have stolen a march on their rivals, as they look to strengthen ahead of a fourth consecutive title defence.

The Old Lady beat Calgari 3-0 yesterday afternoon to take their season’s points tally to 102, having already wrapped up their 30th Italian championship two weeks ago.

In his nine years in England, Evra won five Premier League titles, three League Cups, the Champions League and the World Club Cup.

He made three-hundred and seventy-nine appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, scoring ten goals while internationally, he has won fifty-four caps for France.
