Fabregas named new Arsenal captain

Spanish youngster Cesc Fabregas has been named new Arsenal skipper after manager Arsene Wenger stripped William Gallas of the armband.

Wenger has also confirmed that Gallas will feature in the game against Dynamo Kiev tomorrow.

He said: “William will play against Kiev but the captain of the team will be Fabregas.

“I do not think I have to explain why I make the decisions but it is a permanent thing.

“I believe the captain is the voice of the club towards the outside and is one of the leaders of the team.

“However, I do not believe in just one man in the dressing room who sorts out all of the problems.

“A successful team is a shared leadership inside the dressing room. Cesc will be one of the leaders but not the only one.”

Arsene Wenger has make one of the best decisions of his life by giving the armband to Fabregas (the one who have the qualities and mentality of leadership). Had Gallas been left to continue as Arsenal captain, only God knows what would have become of Arsenal in the nearest future. But thank God, that we have a wise coach who make wise decisions at times. And now, he has made another wise decision by giving the captain to Fabregas. I believe Fab is the right choice. Thanks to Arsene Wenger.
