Fucile tells Neymar to toughen up

Santos defender Jorge Fucile has advised team-mate Neymar to learn how to deal with tough challenges.

Brazil international Neymar complained last month about the physical approach from Juan Aurich following Santos’ 2-0 victory over the Peruvian club in the Copa Libertadores.

It was not the only time Neymar has been on the receiving end of hard tackles, and Fucile has warned the 20-year-old sensation he must get used to being targeted by opposing defenders.

“Neymar is unpredictable,” Fucile told Terra.

“He can go everywhere with the ball and it is very hard for defenders to stop a player with this quality.

“It is not easy at all to stop Neymar if you only go for the ball. That is why he gets hit so often.

“He will have to deal with that a lot.”
