AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is looking forward to the derby clash against Inter today.

Gattuso feels the media have made it seem like they will be playing against Inter boss Jose Mourinho and not the team.

“It’d be so great to score in the derby, especially this season when the media thinks we seem to be playing against Jose Mourinho rather than Inter,” Gattuso said on Milan Channel.

“We had a rough start this year, but in reality the only result we didn’t deserve was the first match against Bologna. It was an incredible defeat, as we earned a win and instead lost. If we played it again 10 times it’d always end 4-1 or 5-1 for us.”

Gattuso added on reports that the club needs to replace coach Ancelotti with a ‘stronger’ personality: “They say he is too friendly with the players and every now and then a story emerges that he’ll be fired, but it won’t take long before they build him a statue like Nereo Rocco.

“The truth is he knows how to do his job very well and, when it is necessary, he can get pretty angry.”
