Giorgos Giakoumakis wants to leave Celtic

Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis wants to leave the defending Scottish Premiership champions in the January transfer window, according to InsideFutbol. The report has claimed that the agent of the Greece international’s agent is trying to find clubs for the striker and is on the hunt for teams in the Premier League.

Giakoumakis joined Celtic from VVV-Venlo in the summer of 2021. The striker has struggled for regular playing time this season and is essentially a squad player at the Bhoys, who won the Scottish Premiership title last season and are favourites to clinch it again this campaign.

The Greece international striker has made only four starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Ange Postecoglou’s side so far this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist in those games. Giakoumakis made two starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Bhoys this campaign, scoring one goal in the process.
