Reports from Italy say Juventus have finally come out of the closet and confirmed their interest in Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano. His arrival could see Sebastian Giovinco move in the opposite direction because Samp reportedly want the ‘Atomic Ant’ to be included in the deal.

“Will Cassano join Juve? I hope not!” joked Giovinco. “I mean, it’s okay if he arrives, but I hope Juve do not send me away.”

Italy boss Marcello Lippi will announce the call-ups for the forthcoming 2010 World Cup qualifiers on Sunday and host Piero Chiambretti asked Giovinco about his chances of being in the list.

“Will Lippi call me up? I don’t really think so…” replied the diminutive fantasista.
