Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has warned his players of a potential upset against Atalanta, with the two sides to meet on Sunday in Serie A.

The Italian club have made a solid start to the season and currently sit equal top with Juventus. They will be looking for another three points against Atalanta who, despite being deducted six points in the wake of a match-fixing scandal, have made a great start to the campaign.

Guidolin believes Atalanta will be hungry for victory this weekend, something his team will need to match.

“Tomorrow we are facing a side starved of success and we must catch them on every level of intensity,” Guidolin said.

“The start of negative six points has proved to be a great motivating force, so we cannot help but praise the work done by Stefano Colantuono.”

“This season is full of hidden dangers for every team, regardless of their ambitions. I am convinced we must always behave the same way, with focus, humility and fighting to the death for every point. My job is to install this mentality into the players.”

Udinese return to Europa League action on Thursday when they entertain Atletico Madrid.
