(GSM) – The Hamburger Morgenpost says Hamburger SV has fired coach Bruno Labbadia, one day after a dramatic 5-1 loss at Hoffenheim and only three days before before the second leg of the Europa League semifinals at Fulham.

The club has not confirmed the reports by the Hamburger Morgenpost, but Labbadia has been summoned to the management office Monday to discuss the team’s decline in the Bundesliga.

Technical coach Ricardo Moniz led Monday’s training session and is expected to be in charge for the clash against Fulham in London which is finely balanced at 0-0.

Labbadia moved to Hamburg from Bayer Leverkusen as successor to Martin Jol last summer.
