Hansi Flick wants Marcus Rashford stay at Barcelona

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is happy with Marcus Rashford and wants him to stay for the long term.

Rashford joined Barcelona on loan from Man United in the summer of 2025 and is scheduled to stay at last season’s La Liga winners until the end of the season. Barcelona have the option to make the loan deal permanent for €30million, with Rashford scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists in 31 appearances for the Blaugrana.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Hansi Flick is in love with Rashford.

“After he scored a goal for Barcelona, he sent a message about his speed, his quality, he’s adding something to the squad. 

“So Barcelona’s intention is to find a way to keep Rashford. At the moment, there’s still nothing communicated with Man Utd. 

“They’ll do that later this year. But what’s also true is that Marcus Rashford and Barca are very happy together.”
