The season may be over for the current Bundesliga top scorer, Vedad Ibisevic of Hoffenheim, who tore a cruciate ligament in his right knee in last week’s friendly loss to Hamburger SV in La Manga, but his confidence has not been notably dented.

“The season is over, but I’m just focusing on the future. I want to come back fit. It won’t be easy, but other players have managed it before me”, the 24-year-old Bosnian explained.

As to other talk concerning Hoffenheim’s title chances disappearing in the absence of their top striker, Ibisevic does not see it that way: “The team has enough quality to remain successful…I hope Bayern München don’t end up as champions. I hope it will be someone else…”.
