Inter Milan are ready to continue their raid on Manchester United and they could sign some more of their players this January. After Romelu Lukaku’s long-awaited move to Guiseppe Meazza, Alexis Sanchez followed in his footsteps just before the end of the summer transfer window, but since then, Nemanja Matic has been linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s team.
But unlike in those recent reports, when they were suggesting Inter could wait for Matic to run down his contract next summer, now it appears as if the club are ready to go for the Serbia international this January. That would mean that Inter would have to pay something to Man United, instead of waiting to sign him for free in July 2020.
Calciomercato are also reporting that after Inter’s impressive start, Antonio Conte feels that a defensive midfielder is necessary to improve the squad depth and quality and he sees the Serbian as the perfect solution for a cut-price.
