Jokanovic wants Kodjia in Qatar

Slavisa Jokanovic’s path is not a typical one. After managing in Serbia and Thailand, he got a crack on the English football, where he promoted two clubs from the Championship to the Premier League. Now he is working in Qatar, but according to reports, he is obviously still keeping his eyes on England.

A proof of that could be the signing of Jonathn Kodjia from Aston Villa. Accoding to Football Insider, Jokanovic is trying to sign the Villa striker to his club, Al Gharafa. Former Fulham and Watford manager is looking at the Ivory Coast international and Al Gharafa have enough money to make the deal happen.

The transfer window in Qatar is open until the end of September and the club can still sign the players. The reported fee that Al Gharafa is ready to pay is £7m. The 29-year-old played only 16 minutes in Premier League so far, on the opening day of the season.
