Leeds interested in Norwich’s Cantwell and Derby’s Louie Sibley

Leeds United are interested in signing Todd Cantwell from Norwich City, sporting director Victor Orta told Yorkshire Evening Post. Derby County star Louie Sibley is apparently on their radar as well.

Both players are believed to be keen on the move, wanting to play in the Premier League rather than the Championship this season. However, with Norwich reportedly demanding no less than £25 million for Cantwell, that one looks like it will be difficult to complete before the end of the domestic window in England on Friday as Leeds deem that price too high.

Norwich’s high valuation of their players has already ruined Jamal Lewis’s move to Liverpool earlier this summer, and the left-back eventually went to Newcastle. Max Aarons, who plays on the right defensive flank, was deemed too expensive by Barcelona who moved on quickly and signed Sergino Dest from Ajax instead.

With Leeds keen to add a midfielder to their ranks, a deal for Derby’s Sibley looks much more likely at this point.
