Leeds United and Barcelona want Espanyol striker Mateo Joseph

Leeds United are interested in signing Espanyol striker Mateo Joseph, according to El Gol Digital. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa is keen on securing the 20-year-old striker.

Premier League club Leeds, though, are not the only club who are keen on the youngster. Spanish and European giants Barcelona are also interested in the Espanyol striker, who is one of the better young players in Spain.

It will be interesting to see what Joseph does if both Leeds and Barcelona make offers. Leeds are a big club who are playing in the Premier League for the second successive season after their promotion from the Championship, but Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.
